Project outline

Heavy machinery chamber is a place where all repairs and inspections of the machine park in the mine are made. It also serves as a stopping place for unused equipment and machines.

Greatest challenges

The most important challenge was to build two overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 15 tons each. Installation of five pieces of rope hoists as well as specialist equipment used for technical servicing of mining machines. In terms of construction, a considerable challenge was to build five repair channels with a total length of 250 m.

Key moment

The foundation of the crane support structure. Each crane consists of a complicated steel structure, which must be placed precisely on a special concrete floor. An important element of this task is to maintain the appropriate dimensional tolerance.
